Experience close encounters with ruffed and ring-tailed lemurs in our lemur walkthrough. Watch them bound along by your feet or swing over your head, just meters from you.
Don't miss the lemur talk to learn why lemurs have 'stink fights' and hear about the conservation work we do in Madagascar.
Meet our lemurs...
Ruffed lemurs
This striking black and white species are found in eastern Madagascar. Meet ours in the Lemur Walkthrough.
With their bold striped tails, our ring-tailed lemurs are easy to spot, even when hiding in trees. Meet them in the Lemur Walkthrough.
Blue-eyed black lemurs
Find this beautiful pair behind the Lemur Walkthrough, in their own area. In the wild, they're found in northwest Madagascar, where we work to protect their forest habitat.
Alaotran gentle lemurs
Find these tiny lemurs just outside the Lemur Walkthrough, in their own habitat adapted for their size.
We work with local communities and partners, to monitor wildlife and protect and restore habitats in northwest Madagascar.
The area is home to blue-eyed black and Sahamalaza sportive lemurs, both of which are Critically Endangered. Last year, with our partners, we established over 15,000 native tree seedlings, helping to restore the lemurs' forest home.
