Festive treats

If you're visiting the zoo during the festive season, there'll be plenty of seasonal treats available to fuel your visit. From speciality hot chocolates topped with a mouth-watering selection of goodies, to mulled wine, minced pies and freshly made donuts, you'll be spoilt for choice.

It you'd prefer something more savoury, then you can choose from a selection of freshly made sandwiches with a seasonal twist, or a pizza straight from the oven with special edition festive toppings!

Courtyard Café

Begin your visit with a freshly-made coffee from Bristol-based Clifton Coffee Roasters!

Choose from a range of freshly made sandwiches, soup, jacket potatoes and oven-baked pastries for a tasty lunch.

There’s also a selection of sandwiches and delicious snacks for younger visitors to enjoy. A mouth-watering range of cakes and sweet treats is also available if you work up an appetite during your day out.

Our locally produced Marshfield Farm ice cream is so popular, that we even serve it in the winter months, so come and discover which is your favourite flavour!

There is plenty of outdoor seating next to the café, and for cold and wet days you can sit inside and recharge before you venture back out to find the giraffes, geladas and lemurs.

Open 7 days a week, 10am until 4pm

Courtyard Cafe is close to the entrance, and exit, making it the perfect place to start or finish your visit to Bristol Zoo Project.

Base Camp Pizzeria

Join us for a morning coffee and cake, or join us for lunch to enjoy a freshly-baked sourdough pizza or one of our delicious pulled-pork or jackfruit buns, served in Hobbs House burger buns which have been lovingly produced using locally-milled Shipton Mill Flour.

Little explorers can choose from their own special menu for smaller appetites. Offering great value for money, each little explorers meal includes a piece of fresh fruit and a fruit juice carton or canned water to quench their thirst.

If you still have some room, why not try one of our locally produced Marshfield Farm ice creams, with a selection of flavours named especially for Bristol Zoo Project by our visitors.

Everything is made to order whilst you enjoy the view from the covered seating area or alfresco picnic benches.

Open 7 days a week, 10am until 4pm

“The pizza area was quite something else as it was right next to the cheetahs, so you are about 10 foot away from a cheetah while eating your pizza! Absolutely brilliant and quite an experience.” Visitor quote, August 2023

Where can you find us?

Base Camp Pizzeria can be found close to the Cheetah habitat, making it the perfect vantage point for spotting our cheetahs and near the Bear Wood entrance and exit.

Where can you find us?

The Bearries and Nuts kiosk is nestled in the ancient woodland at the end of the Bear Wood walkway.
